This monster of a quilt began its life as a result of leftovers! The majority of the Units in the centre medallion were spares from another project. Once I started playing on the design wall with these Units, I could see that the emerging design was going to need some colours with oomph!

Stepping outside my boundaries, I gave myself permission to use colours that I've not used before. Checkered is the result and I just love it."
